How long does a real estate license last in NY?
The NY real estate salesperson course and the 30 hour remedial courses are valid for 8 years from your course completion date. Your certification must be used within the 8 years to get your NY real estate license or the certification will expire and the NY real estate salesperson course must be retaken.
Once either of these NY real estate license courses have been applied towards your real estate license, they will not expire.
What states have reciprocity with New York real estate?
You can use your New York Real Estate license in states have reciprocity with New York. NY broker, associate broker, and salesperson reciprocity agreements are with Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
